Course Objectives

Be able to develop a sequential program for PLC based on the IEC61131-3 standard (SFC)
Be able to design a graphical user interface according to good design practice.
Be able to plan, implement and document a project based on what has been learned in project methodology.

Course Description

A technical problem as a basis for a project assignment on PLC and programming of these as well as fieldbus configuration. A seminar will be held regarding the use of relevant PLCs and programming tools. The project assignment will relate to the subject content of the course.

Learning Methods

Seminars and project work.

Assessment Methods

Individual written mid-term test 30 %.
Project 70 % (report counts 60% and work process, presentation and examination counts 40%).

Both the written examination and the project assignment must receive passing marks in order to receive a higher grade than F.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
