Introduction

This 30 ECTS extension study programme is organised as a part-time course of studies with six one-week workshops during the course of the academic year.

The programme may be included in a Bachelor’s degree in Norwegian Folk Art or as part of a multi-subject Bachelor’s degree. The programme may also constitute a specialisation element within the study programme, Subject Teacher: Design, Art and Handicrafts and as a further educational programme for subject teachers of Design, Art and Handicrafts, and Practical and Arts Subjects.

Target Group and Admission Requirements

The target group includes students in arts, crafts and design; folk arts; upper secondary school teachers; and knitters and craftsmen who wish to establish their own knitting workshops.

The admission requirement is one year (60 ECTS) in arts and crafts / aesthetic subjects at university college level or equivalent competence.
