Organisation Theory and Management II 1044

Course Description

Students will receive an introduction to general organisation-related information. The course will examine organisations and their relationship with their environment, effort-factors and results. There will also be a focus on management theories, management qualities, communication and interaction.

Various themes related to the individual, organisation and society will be discussed such as the conditions for voluntary work, democracy in sport, and sport’s role in a democracy. Policy, strategy and method in today’s sport organisations and institutions will also be emphasised.

Assessment Methods

A 5-hour individual written examination which counts for 40% of the final grade.

A 5-day home examination which counts for 60% of the final grade.

Graded marks.

Participation in seminars and visits is mandatory.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
