Classical physics

Motion and forces with emphasis on Newton’s laws.

Thermodynamics

Thermal properties of materials.

Heat, work and the 1st law of thermodynamics.

Electricity

Electric circuits, fields and Kirchoff’s laws.

Assessment Methods

The student will have 2 tests and 1 project during the semester. One test and the project take place before Easter, while the second test is after Easter. The project is compulsory, and “passed” is required to get access to the two final tests. The test before Easter counts 60%, and the test after Easter counts 40%, of the final grade in the course. Both tests are with pen and paper.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
