Course Description

The water-supply: consumption, quality, transportation of the water-supply, dimensioning, material choice/execution and treatment of the water supply according to rules and regulations. Sewage/waste water: its quantity and composition, the construction and design of the wastewater system, dimensioning, material choice and execution. Cleaning: the choice of process; mechanical, biological and chemical cleaning and sludge treatment.

Waste management: Quantity of waste, handling methods, associated pollution problems and the requirements of the authorities.

Assessment Methods

The course grade will be assigned on the basis of a mid-term course component examination which counts for 40% and a final examination which counts for 60 %. Both examinations will be individual and written.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
