Learning outcome
After completing the course, students should have a basic knowledge of• standards and legislation concerning the safe and responsible management of electronically stored information.• risk assessment methods• planning of technical and organizational solutions for information security.
Course Description
Frameworks for information security like legislature and applicable standards, eg. ISO 20000 and ISO 27000. Possibilities and limitations of security architectures, authentication and authorization systems. Quality systems, surveillance and detection. Planning of security solutions based on technologies and frameworks.
Teaching and Learning Methods
4 hours of lectures and guidance per week. All course material will be available through the e-learning system.
Assessment Methods
Individual written 4-hour exam. There will be a number of mandatory assignments that must be passed before final exam.
