Course Description

The history and of Linux. Linux distributions.
Terminal window, Linux commands, options and arguments. Shell programming.
Configuration by editing system files, services and settings.
Important applications. Linux in a network. Practical use of Linux.

Teaching and Learning Methods

4-5 hours of lectures, exercises and guidance per week.

Assessment Methods

A 4-hour written, individual examination. A number of obligatory assignments submitted during the course must be approved before the student will be permitted to sit the final examination.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
