Learning outcome
After completing the subject the candidate should have the following learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills and competence:
The aim is to provide students the benefit humanity, to benefit for themselves and the whole world.
- Students will gain an understanding of how to communicate in a positive way with people from other cultures.
- Students will have broad knowledge to key topics, theories, issues, tools and methods within the field.
- Students will learn to research and development within the field.
- Students should update their knowledge within the field.
- Students should be familiar with the field of the history, characteristics and role in society.
- Students will be able to use academic skills and relevant results of research and development of practical and theoretical problems and issues, and make basic choices.
- Students will reflect on their own tame and adjust this under supervision.
- Students should have knowledge of relevant academic and professional ethical problem, to plan and carry out various tasks and projects as a participant in a group, and in line with ethical requirements and guidelines.
- Students can convey important subject material as theories, issues and solutions both orally, written and through other relevant national and international expressions.
- Students will exchange views and experiences with other human beings within the field and in a way contribute to a development of good practice.
- Students will learn to innovate. The incorporated the continuation of minor changes in the plan.
Course Description
The course will provide an introduction to the central topic of intercultural communication and understanding of various social values, religions, political systems, attitudes, social structures, lifestyles, to be way communication style and business attitudes. The course builds on all the recent research and inventions.
Teaching and Learning Methods
3-5 hours of lectures per week in the fall semester.
The course is lecture intensive, largely as a seminar, one has the prerequisite that students take an active part in the lection.
Assessment Methods
Examination (case analysis) in the plenum (oral presentation of the thesis) which accounts for 50%. Candidates will be examined in performing / cause tension. The host asked academic questions in connection with the assignment. It's compulsory attendance under presentation for all students participating in the course. Deadline registration for the examination performances (the tension) in the fall semesters of 2011/12 is the end of week 37. A written exam, 4 hours, which represents 50% of the final grade for the course. All exams must be passed. A final grade.
