Knowledge

- Use exploratory methods in working with textile materials and techniques
- Use different sketching methods and materials in developing ideas

- Reflect on his/her own working processes and acquired knowledge
- Demonstrate practical creative skills in working with materials in a continuous process from idea to finished product
Course Description
The main emphasis in this course will be on practical creative work using materials in a continuous process from idea to finished product. Students will work on idea development, visualization and documentation of design processes in various ways. The history of fashion and style will provide an important foundation and source of inspiration for the development of ideas.
Teaching and Learning Methods
Instruction will mainly be carried out in the classroom and the textiles workshop, and includes lectures, demonstrations, seminars, and tutorials. Students are expected to put in considerable effort in the workshop, where work with textiles will require confidence and practice.
Assessment Methods
Students must submit a portfolio before the stipulated deadline, which will include products, presentations of products, process description and reflection on practical training. A grade will be given from A to F, where E is the lowest passing grade.
