VUKDNAT1 Natural Sciences 1: Year Levels 5-10, Competence for Quality

Introduction

Continuing education studies in Natural Sciences 1 provides students with specialization in selected aspects of the subject areas biology, chemistry, physics and geoscience. The course will provide students with increased practical and theoretical competence. Tasks and assignments are related to school work. Natural science didactics is included in the study programme. The study programme emphasizes basic skills.

Target Group and Admission Requirements

Teachers who teach year levels 5-10 who wish to specialize in natural sciences.

Aim of the Programme

Students will acquire skills in selected parts of the subjects biology, chemistry, physics and geoscience. Students will gain experience with a variety of approaches and tools in natural sciences. The aims are described in detail in the curricula for each of the two modules (below).
