2301 Music 1: Year Levels 1-7
Introduction
Music 1 (30 ECTS credits) comprises MUS 101 (autumn semester) and MUS 102 (spring semester) (also possibly MUS 501 (autumn semester) and MUS 502 (spring semester)), both of which are 15 ECTS credit courses.
Target Group and Admission Requirements
The target group is students who wish to use music in educational contexts. There are no special requirements for admission to the study programme, but practical musical experience in various settings (choirs, corps, bands etc.) will be an advantage.
Aim of the Programme
The study programme will provide students with improved skills and increased self-confidence when using music in professional contexts. Emphasis will be placed on leadership, facilitating practical music activities and pedagogical reflection. The study programme includes instrumental training, singing, planning and implementation of school/nursery concerts and musical collaboration in various contexts.
