Learning outcome

After completing the course, the students should have the following qualifications regarding knowledge, skills, and general competence:


• Basic knowldge of key laws and regulations within the field
• Ability to interpret the auditing methodology and risk and vulnerability analysis
• Have a basis for working with executive management related to supervisory work in public administration
• Ability to perform inspections based on system audits and verifications of various agencies
• Ability to help in planning and implementing interdisciplinary projects that include solutions for safety, internal control, risk and vulnerability analysis
• Ability to provide professional input in interdisciplinary discussions

Course Description

The teaching has a practical and administrative approach. Key themes are:

• Environmental health and environmental hygiene procedures
• Supervision work in the form of system audits and verifications
• Key internal regulations
• Management of public authorities in various areas
• Specific executive work in forms of practical exercises and case assignments
• Risk and vulnerability analysis (RAV-analysis)

Teaching and Learning Methods

There will be a Group projekt, and a mandatory course on campus lasting three days.

There might be visits to businesses like waterworks and swimmingpools related to Group Projects.

Assessment Methods

  • Written final exam, 4 hours
  • Mandatory submission must be approved

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
