Course Objectives
The aim of the work experience is to provide students with experience of the tourism industry, the markets and the networks which the work experience employer operates in.
Course Description
The assignments will be varied and suited to the competence of the student. During the work-experience period, the student will investigate a topic. After receiving approval for the theme chosen, the trainee will write a final report.
Learning Methods
The student is responsible for finding his/her own work placement, which must be approved by the university college. The course does not include traditional instruction, but the work placement employer is responsible for providing regular guidance during the student’s placement. The student will maintain close contact with the course instructor during the work placement.
Assessment Methods
The assessment is based on the work experience, which should be carried out according to current guidelines, and a final report written by the student. Pass/fail.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
