Textual Analysis and Theory 2110
Course Objectives
Students will be provided with an introduction to textual analysis and theory, and will practice and work independently with problems within this field.
The theory will be applied to a selection of texts from various genres (roughly 25 pages).
Learning Methods
Autumn semester, 3 hours per week. Lectures, seminars and individual supervision.
The course is a part of BA Literature and Language, specialisation in Norwegian.
Assessment Methods
Portfolio assessment including 2 individual written assignments which count for 40 % of the final grade. A 5-hour examination which counts for 60 %. Students must receive passing marks in both the portfolio assessment and the final examination in order to receive a passing mark for the course.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
