Course Objectives
The course will provide students with practice in carrying out a major project.
Course Description
This course offers students the opportunity to work on a project in the field of tourism; however, this will not include daily activities and conditions in tourism operations. Students shall work independently, but under supervision of the subject teacher. Working with a project shall afford students the opportunity of solving major tasks requiring the collection and analysis of data and reporting of complex issues. The work shall correspond to a real situation and focus on problem solving, with themes relevant to the tourism industry. The project work shall also provide students with the opportunity to work systematically with problem identification, information searching and reporting in the form of a written exposition, with the formal requirements required of such work.
Learning Methods
Instruction and supervision of individual and group assignments in the spring semester; details will be given.
Assessment Methods
The project assignment shall be submitted for assessment. The work shall normally be carried out by groups of 2-3 students, but individual submission of work will also be possible in some cases. Graded marks.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
