Social Science Methods 6011
Course Objectives
The students will learn about the fundamental principles of traditional research methodology related to areas of study within the field of economics and administration. The course will enable students to carry out elementary investigations and complete projects under supervision.
Course Description
The course includes the following elements:
• Various research methods and analysis strategies
• Formulating a hypothesis
• Operationalisation and measurement of variables
• Selection decisions
• Choice of data-collection methods
• Data analysis
• Interpretation and reporting
Learning Methods
3-4 hours of lectures per week in the spring semester.
Assessment Methods
1-3 obligatory assignments and a 4-hour written examination. All parts of the assessment must receive passing marks.
