Ecophilosophy, Term paper 2612
Course Objectives
Students will have the opportunity to pursue in-depth study of a topic of special interest, in order to acquire a deeper understanding of philosophical responses to the ecological crisis.
Course Description
Students are expected to write an original term paper on the basis of the topics in the course 2606 Ecophilosophy. The students are permitted to select their own topics, but the instructor must approve each topic.
Learning Methods
Students need to take the course 2606 Eco-philosophy, in which lectures and readings are in English. Norwegian or Danish students may hand in written assignments in their own language. Students who wish to write a term paper in addition to the course 2606 Ecophilosophy, must sign up for this course, 2612 Eco-philosophy: Term paper. This will require additional reading (approx. 250 pages), chosen by the students themselves and approved by the instructor. The term paper will be written under the supervision of the instructor and handed in at the end of the semester.
Assessment Methods
Term paper which counts for 100% of the course grade.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
