Practical Estate Agency III 6036

Course Objectives

The possibility of work experience on this course will prepare students for their professional lives and the practical aspects of the estate agency profession. Work experience will give students the possibility of carrying out all kinds of property transactions and managing all document processing related to the transactions. Students will also be given the possibility of ensuring the quality of the transactions and the agency’s services.

Course Description

The course comprises work experience placements, where the responsibilities should be varied and be related to the skills of the student in question. During the work experience placement the student should examine in-depth a topic on which agreement has been reached, and draft a final report. Alternatively, the student may write a Bachelor’s degree assignment on a topic which is covered by the courses Practical Estate Agency Brokerage (I and II).

Learning Methods

Periodical lectures in the spring semester, as well as work experience placements; students are responsible for acquiring their own work experience placements which must be approved by the university college. As an alternative to a work experience placement students may write an assignment on a topic related to the courses Practical Estate Agency Brokerage (I and II).

Assessment Methods

The practice placement carried out according to plan with a final report constitutes the basis for the assessment; alternatively, the Bachelor’s degree assignment fills this role. The report/Bachelor’s degree assignment counts for 60% of the final grade. The oral examination held at the end of the semester counts for 40% of the final grade. The oral examination may also include the syllabus of the courses Practical Estate Agency Brokerage I and II.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
