Course Objectives

Students will learn about project management, which involves, amongst other things, the application of knowledge, techniques and methodology to the planning and follow up of projects.

Course Description

Formulation of aims – time and resource-planning methodology, methodology relevant to documentation of completion, progress and use of resources.

Learning Methods

2-4 hours of lectures and exercises per week. Group work and periodic presentations.

Assessment Methods

Submitted obligatory assignment(s), which count for 30 % and a 3-hour individual final examination which counts for 70% of the final grade. At the start of the course, students will receive information concerning the number of obligatory assignments; these must be submitted and approved before students will be permitted to sit the final examination. Students must receive passing marks on all parts of the assessment.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
