Introduction to Economics 6042

Course Objectives

The course will provide students with a basic knowledge of economics. The course is mainly aimed at students taking the 3-year Bachelor’s study programmes in Tourism, International Marketing and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Course Description

The course covers the following topics:

  • Basic cost and income theory
  • Calculation
  • Accounting and financial analysis
  • Budgeting
  • Investment analysis
  • Market methods

Learning Methods

6-8 hours of lectures per week during the spring semester.

Assessment Methods

2-3 compulsory assignments. Pass / fail. Written examination, 5 hours. All parts of the assessment must receive passing marks.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
