Course Objectives
After completing the course students will have:
Knowledge
- knowledge of relevant psychological and educational theories and perspectives
- basic knowledge of various disabilities
- knowledge about the collection of data
- knowledge of the relevant sociological and social anthropological concepts
Skills
- basic skills in data collection, with particular focus on observation
Course Description
The content of the course is based on the national curriculum’s requirements regarding the distribution of credits, which functions as a guideline for the clarification of the course plan.
Sociology and social anthropology - 2 ECTS credits; scientific theory and research methods – 1 ECTS credit; general, developmental and social psychology - 3 ECTS credits; general and special education - 4 ECTS credit.
Learning Methods
Independent work; lectures; seminars; skills training in observation and communication; group work; written and oral presentations.
Assessment Methods
Course code: 061-E2: Development and identity – assessment assignment
The assignment will demonstrate that the student has grasped basic knowledge and understanding of key perspectives and concepts of the course. Individual responses (2000 words). Graded marks.
There will be as many as two course requirements, which must be approved before the course can be approved; the course requirements are described in the course plan.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
