Knowledge

The student will have acquired knowledge of:

• Parts of the Norwegian school system.
• The practicing of physical education in a Norwegian school.

General competence

The student will be able to:

• Reflect on the differences and simmilarities between the Norwegian school system and the school system in their home culture.
• Discuss and reflect on pedagogical and didactical questions related to physical education and other subjects.

Course Description

The contents of the week will be decided by the schedule of the school.

Assessment Methods

The student is expected to write a report for the practice teacher to evaluate at the end of the practice period. Both the student and the practice teacher must sign this report in order for the student to pass the practice period.

Contents of the report:

• A brief description of the practice period
• General conditions
• Planning for one lesson
• Basis for your planning
• Accomplishment
• The students own reflections

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
