Learning outcome

The course should give the students basic knowledge about service management and service production, knowledge about important aspects in national and international tourism, as well as making the students acquainted with the most important concepts in the tourism terminology.

The course should give the students skills making them able to systematic analysis of service production in tourism at a basic level.

Teaching and Learning Methods

The classes will vary between traditional lectures, seminars, practical tasks, student presentations and compulsory written reports/hand-ins.

Assessment Methods

Portfolio evaluation with the following elements: Group task (30 %) and final written individual examination, 4 hours (70 %). Both subtasks must qualify for passed to achieve the final mark for the course. Graded marks.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
