Course Objectives
Students who successfully complete the course will:
- Have knowledge and skills to enable them to generate innovative processes.
- Have knowledge of how one can break away from previously established solutions and limitations when creating new products and business opportunities.
Course Description
The course includes the early phases of a product development process, where ideas abound, and creativity flourishes (or ought to flourish). In this course we will consider the key elements in this phase, such as: the paradigm shift, creativity, creative training, idea processes, innovation, mental blocks, being close to the customer experience, impossibilities and opportunities, culture, strategy, vision, storytelling, dream society and feelings and function.
Learning Methods
Instruction is project-oriented. The starting point will be real assignments related to the business world. Lectures, exercises and group work.
Assessment Methods
Week-assignments counts for 25% and project counts for 75% of the final grade.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
