Learning outcome
After successfully completing the course, the candidate will have achieved the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence.
The candidate can:
- Identify problems that can be solved by using the methods described in the course
- Formulate problems mathematically
- Find the optimal solution by calculation or using software tools
- Interpret results and evaluate alternative solutions
Course Description
Linear programming, queue theory, simulation, stochastic decision-making processes and inventory theory.
Teaching and Learning Methods
3-4 hours of lectures per week in the spring semester.
Assessment Methods
Submission of 1-2 assignments which must receive passing grades before the student will be permitted to take the final examination. Written examination, 4 hours.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
