Learning outcome
The students will:
- acquire knowledge about eBusiness and use of social media by organizations and businesses.
- acquire theoretical understanding and skills in assessing how the eBusiness and social media can be integrated into an organization's business strategy
Course Description
- Strategy, finance and marketing
- eBusiness and social media as a key part of a company's business strategy
- Visibility and advertising, and promotions on the Internet
- Internet-based customer guidance, customer interaction, self-service and supplier collaboration
- Legal and ethical aspects of online activities and social media
- Standards and government requirements for the design and functionality of legitimate websites
- Privacy, information security and rule of law. Supply chain management in developing websites
Teaching and Learning Methods
Online study, with no requirement for participation at scheduled times. Students is expected to put down 8-10 hours of work per. weeks. Students must have access to computer equipment as specified in the study program. Digital learning resources will be published online, and students are free to use the material for study when they want to. Guidance and problem solving will by done by e-mail, in net-based discussion groups and online meetings.
Assessment Methods
A 4-hour written exam. A number of obligatory assignments submitted during the course must be approved before the student will be permitted to sit the exam.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
