Learning outcome
Knowledge:
- The candidate has knowledge of Norwegian history, politics, culture and educational system.

- understand lectures, films and TV-programs
- understand the main ideas of complex texts (articles, newspapers and websites)
- have a good command of the main rules of Norwegian grammar
- speak Norwegian with good pronounciation and fluency
- participate in discussions and academic conversations
- formulate ideas and opinions
General competence:
The candidate has/can
- the ability to use Norwegian effectively in oral communication
- compare the culture in Norway with the culture in other parts of the world
Course Description
"Spoken Norwegian" focuses on the following subject areas: Norwegian spoken language and Norwegian civics; these two areas will be integrated as far as possible. The main focus will be on practical language skills.
Teaching and Learning Methods
Lectures, group work, exercises and homework. Attendance is obligatory. Students must attend at least 80% of the instruction to be allowed to take the examination. Mandatory oral presentation.
Assessment Methods
Final oral examination.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
