Teaching and Learning Methods
The instruction is organized into blocks of lectures in the subjects sport physiology, sport sociology and sport pedagogy and interdisciplinary seminars with key topics regarding the role of coach. In some contexts, the subject matter will be made apparent through practical activity. The course emphasises that the student needs to be strongly motivated in learning activities in order to develop themselves in their coaching role; consequently, the link between theory and practice is important. In this context, the student’s own experiences and reflections from practical training will be focused on in lectures, seminars and discussions.
Assessment Methods
- Oral presentation in groups in the student seminar, graded marks, counts for 30 % of the final grade.
- Individual oral examination, graded marks, counts for 70 % of the final grade.
All parts of the assessment must gain passing marks in order to achieve a final passing mark for the course.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
