Learning outcome
A candidate who has passed the exam should have achieved the learning outcome in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence>
Knowledge
- Site and explain the benefit of planning maintenance
- Undertake economical assessment of maintenance strategy based on failure frequency and criticality
- Describe relevant techniques for state check of several types of technical equipment.
- Estimate economical advantages of stock
- Explain how to initiate systematic maintenance
- Explain hazard of handling flammable, pressurized and poisonous material in industry
- Describe the procedure of HAZOP/analysis
- Describe some unwanted events in industry and what consequences they have.

- Calculate life cycle cost
- Demonstrate error tree analysis to identify critical components
- Use nomograms to find failure probability based on statistics
- Diagnose technical equipment using methods for determining state of condition
- Estimate outlet, events and responds in industry
- Be able to contribute as participant in HAZOP-analysis
- Show how to find relevant regulations an HSE requirements
General competance

Assessment Methods
The marking is done as follows:
GradingThe grades A - F based on written exam at the end of the term. To be admitted for the exam, 60 % of problems must have been accepted, either assessed by the teacher or through presentation of kandidates solution in front of the class.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
