Course Objectives

The students will learn to use the most commonly employed statistical methods. In addition, they will learn how to use a programme package for statistical analysis.

Course Description

The main elements in the course are the comparison of two groups, regression analysis, variation analysis, chi-square tests and non-parametric methods. An introduction to a standard programme package for statistical analysis will also be given.

Learning Methods

4 hours of lectures per week in the autumn semester.

Assessment Methods

Submission of 2 assignments which must receive passing marks. Written examination, 4 hours.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
