Course Objectives

Knowledge of earth fault and short circuit currents.

Course Description

Calculation of earth fault and short circuit currents in various distribution systems. Calculation of various conditions in transmission lines.

Learning Methods

Lectures and exercises. Obligatory laboratory work.

Assessment Methods

Continuous assessment (30%) and final written examination (70%).
In order to sit the final examination students must first have completed their laboratory exercises.

Final written exams has to be passed to obtain a grade in this subject.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
