SCEV3106 Industrial Automation

Course Objectives

To give students knowledge about structures of practical industrial automation systems for single processes and for an entire plant.

Course Description

Process functions, process dynamics, stabilization of processes using control, safety, documentation, automation software and hardware, process simulation.

Learning Methods

Lectures. Exercises. Excursion. Project work (in students groups).

Assessment Methods

Compulsory excursion. A group project counts 30% and the final written exam counts 70% in the final grade.

Both the project and the exam must be passed to get a final grade better than F.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
