Course Objectives

To give students knowledge about industrial automation systems for single processes and for entire plants.

Course Description

Process functions, process dynamics, stabilization of processes using control, safety, documentation, automation software and hardware, process simulation.

Learning Methods

Lectures. Exercises. Excursion. Project work (in students groups).

Assessment Methods

Compulsory excursion. A group project counts 30% and the final written exam counts 70% in the final grade. Both the project and the exam must be passed to get a passing final grade.
