Course Objectives

Students will acquire deeper insight into the most important conditions and requirements for the planning of housing development. The primary objective is to promote environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient construction in accordance with laws and regulations.

Course Description

Basic laws, regulations and guidelines. Dimensioning simple wooden structures in keeping with Norwegian Standards. Fire and sound. Energy-saving measures. Area calculations. Indoor climate.

Learning Methods

The course consists of lectures and assignments where ICT is used extensively.

Assessment Methods

The grade is individual and is assigned on the basis of a final examination.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
