Course Objectives

Students will:

Gain knowledge and skills in PLS programming, configuration of fieldbus and configuration of frequency converters. Set up fieldbus communication between a PLC and a frequency converter.

Course Description

Basic training in PLS and programming of these together with fieldbus and frequency converters. Seminars will be held on the use of relevant PLSs, frequency converters and programming tools. The detailed description of the semester assignment will focus on relevant aspects of the subject matter of the course.

Learning Methods

Seminars and semester assignments in groups.

Assessment Methods

Continuous assessment (30%) and a report from the semester assignment (70%). The continuous assessment must be passed to get a passing final grade.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
