Aim of the Programme

The study programme is an independent one, but may also be used as the first year of study in the following Bachelor degree programmes:
- Sports Science
- Subject Teacher: Physical Education
The study programme may form part of a Bachelor’s degree at other universities and university colleges. It has been approved as a further educational programme for teachers and as the fourth year of study in the General Teacher Education Programme at Telemark University College.
Curriculum and structure
|
The study programme consists of practical and theoretical education in roughly equal parts. With the areas of sociology, pedagogy, sports biology and training theory as a starting point, the study programme focuses on sports issues and questions.
The university college reserves the right to make changes to the study programme.
Teaching and Learning Methods
The study programme is interdisciplinary, and problem and project oriented. The integration of theoretical and practical aspects of activities is an indispensable element of the programme. Throughout the programme, students will be followed up by using teaching and learning methods which include practice, teaching under supervision and report-writing (portfolios), projects, group- and seminar meetings, lectures, etc.
For more information refer to the course descriptions.
Assessment Methods
Written work and project work will be assessed; obligatory instruction is also an element in the assessment process.
