Course Objectives
The course aims to provide students with knowledge concerning the practical execution of sports. Students will acquire the following knowledge and skills:
• Personal competence, understanding and the ability to employ the correct training methods in the student’s chosen sport.
• Knowledge and experience in arranging, organising, teaching and providing guidance at various levels.
• Insight into the norms, qualities and rules of the sport in question.
Course Description
The course includes the following disciplines:
- Ball games
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Athletics
- Swimming
- Life-saving
- Dance
- Ski-games
- Cross-country skiing
Each student must choose one of these activities: Telemark, alpine skiing or snowboarding.
The course and its specific sport disciplines are under continuous evaluation and development. As a result, it is possible that 1 or 2 disciplines may be removed and new ones added to the course. The final list will be provided by the instructor at the start of the course.
Learning Methods
A total of around 150 hours spread over the academic year.
Practical teaching emphasises: students will develop skills, knowledge and understanding of the various sports activities by being active and reflecting on the content of the activities. Assessment Methods
The requirements for successful completion of the course are:
A minimum of 80% attendance and active participation; pass / fail.
4-hour individual written exam in the spring semester. Graded marks. Counts 25%.
Group examinations in dance. Graded marks. Counts 25%.
Skills requirements in chosen disciplines. Graded marks. Counts 50%.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
