Norwegian Literature after 1900 for International Students 2613

Course Objectives

The students will gain insight into central aspects of Norwegian literature and history from about 1900 up until the present day. The syllabus consists of works and shorter texts from the period, as well as literature history, literature theory and methodology. There is also a module which focuses on the most recent literature.

Course Description

Norwegian literature after 1900.

Learning Methods

Autumn semester, 7 hours per week for a period of 15 weeks. Lectures and seminars and group work.

Assessment Methods

Individual home assignment 8 hours, with study aids. The assignment will be written in English and counts for 50% of the final mark. Final examination 5 hours, will be written in Norwegian and counts for 50 %. Students must receive passing marks in both the assignment and the final examination.
