30SPESP2 Special Needs Education 2 – Web-Based with Seminars

Introduction

This study programme is taught partially online. Based on 60 ECTS special needs education programme or equivalent. Further studies include the possibility of a master’s degree programme (qualifications must be appraised first).
This specialisation programme builds on a special needs education programme (one-year, 60 ECTS) or the equivalent. Each module runs over one semester.
The study programme is taught partially online and includes three 1-day workshop sessions (daytime, Notodden) - per module.
Each of the three modules comprises 10 ECTS.

  • Social and emotional learning difficulties
  • Language, reading and writing difficulties
  • Migration-related learning difficulties

Each module may be taken individually.

Teaching and learning takes place:

  • Via the online classroom (Fronter)
  • In the workshop sessions (Notodden)
  • Self-study

Planned start-date:

  • Module 2: September 2009
  • Module 3: January / February 2010.
  • Module 1: starts in October 2008, completed April 2009
  • Module 1: New programme September 2010

The modules may be taken individually.

Aim of the Programme

The specialisation programme will further build on general special educational needs’ issues related to functional and learning difficulties, and develop the student’s insight into and understanding of working with initiatives that involve inclusion and integration, and preventive measures aimed at educational, personal and social problems.
