Course Description

The course will focus on several types of film, and emphasise grammar of film, experimental film and video art. Making a film is all about planning

Students will work practically with film - in front and behind the camera - and editing

The work takes place within the framework of the school

Teaching and Learning Methods

Group work. All scheduled work is mandatory.

The course alternates between study/discussion of film and experimenting with and making films. Practical work will be supervised.

The work may be carried out in different locations and will be reviewed in the video workshop and classroom.

Assessment Methods

Making presentations in groups and to all the students enrolled in the study programme is an important part of the learning process: feedback will be given by teachers and fellow students.

Course requirements include elements from all the course components.

The course will be assessed on a pass/fail basis. For more information please refer to Telemark University College’s Examination Regulations.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
