Learning outcome

After completed study the student is expected to have obatained the following knowledge, skills and general competency:

Knowledge:

• have knowledge about how the placement business exerts its activity through knowledge about strategy and superior goals as well as daily operation

Skills:

• be able to carry out varied tasks in the placement business

General competency:

• have improved general understanding of that part of the business which the placement business represents.

Course Description

The tasks should be varied and match the competency of the student. During the placement period the student is expected to be immersed in a topic agreed upon and prepare a final report.

Teaching and Learning Methods

The student himself/herself is responsible to provide a suitable business of placement, but it has to be approved by the university college. There will be no regular classes, but the employer of the placement business is obliged to give regular instruction during the period. The student will have close contact with responsible teacher at Telemark University College.

Assessment Methods

Praksisopphold gjennomført etter plan med sluttrapportering utgjør grunnlaget for evalueringa. Bestått/ikke bestått.

The practical placement carried out according to the plan with final report make up the basis for the evaluation. Passed/not passed.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
