Learning outcome
After completing the subject the candidate should have the following learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills and competence:
- Students will increase their general knowledge skills
- Students will find it easier to keep up with current events and seek to understand the background of these
- Students will get the procedures to follow national and international newspapers, television and other news media
Course Description
Newspapers and other types of media will be used on the course as a source of contemporary knowledge and international politics.

Modern World History
Geography
International Politics and Economy
Culture
Communication
Teaching and Learning Methods
3-4 hours of lectures per week in the fall semester.
Assessment Methods
- Work requirements, group work to be defended orally in front of the class (mandatory presence of all the candidates), worth 50% of the grade, graded mark
- Written examination, 3 hours, worth 50% of the grade, graded mark
Both parts of the assessment must receive passing marks in order to receive a final course grade.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
