Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with insight into international business conditions.
Course Description
The course will provide an overview of the most important topics in the field. The following topics will be covered:
Characteristics of international business activities
Important location factors
Ethics in international business activities
Economic framework, e.g. foreign exchange and trade policies
Organisation
Management and leadership in international business activities
Emphasis will be given to practical examples.
Learning Methods
3-4 hours of lectures per week in the spring semester.
Assessment Methods
The assessment will be divided into two parts. The student must submit a written assignment during the course of the semester. The topic for the assignment may be chosen by the student or the subject teacher. The work to be submitted will be carried out in groups, but the course instructor may also approve the submittal of individual work. The second part of the assessment is a 3-hour final examination without examination aids. Each part of the assessment counts for 50% of the final grade. Students must receive passing marks on both parts of the assessment.
