Course Objectives

The project participants will cooperate on solving a mechanical engineering assignment which is relevant within the field of process or mechanical engineering industries. The project work will provide the students with practice in solving complex, interdisciplinary engineering assignments in a goal-orientated manner. If it is possible, the project will be realised in cooperation with an external project partner.

Course Description

The project will be concerned with a mechanical engineering problem. The main content of the project should be anchored in one or several of the main mechanical engineering subjects regarding a relevant, concrete problem as a starting point. The assignment may concern design, construction, re-structuring, purchase, operation, maintenance of and research into process equipment or processes which are relevant in process and mechanical engineering industries.

Supervision in groups.

Assessment Methods

The assessment will be based on project execution, project report as well as the oral project examination.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
