Sports Physiology and Training Sciences 1100
Course Objectives
The course will analyse and describe the physiological adaptation to various types of training. Students will develop their understanding of concepts, theories, principles and methods for the planning and execution of training. The course also stresses a comprehensive approach in which all of these factors play an important role in the practical work carried out by the trainer. It is thus a goal to work with both practical as well as theoretical skills.

Learning Methods
Four hours of lectures per week in the autumn and spring semesters, in conjunction with seminars and laboratory exercises.

Subject material in the form of relevant literature is recommended, concerning the themes and questions which will be examined. Students will be divided into groups and receive written assignments which they will present, concerning problems related to the subject, related to the chosen sport of their Specialised Study.
Assessment Methods
Portfolio assessment: Four laboratory reports- pass/fail. All laboratory courses are mandatory. Two written essays related to curriculum themes. Grades are given on each essay, which together with an oral exam constitute the final grade.
Each of the essays accounts for 1/3 of the grade, and the oral exam account for 1/3
