Wildlife Ecology and Management 4208

Course Description

Important topics include an overview of the ecology and management of Norwegian wildlife resources including e.g. habitat requirements, population dynamics, landscape ecology and predator-prey relationships. Special emphasis will be placed on the most important hunted and threatened species.

Learning Methods

35 hours of lectures. An individual term paper must be submitted for assessment as part of the final grade.
Obligatory: 5-day field course.

Assessment Methods

The course grade consists of two parts: a term paper that counts 30% and a final exam (4 hours) that counts 70%. Both the term paper and final exam must receive a passing grade in order to pass the course.

Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
