Course Objectives
This course will enable students to effectively communicate with people from other cultures.
Course Description
The course will provide students with an introduction to the principal topics in intercultural communication and understanding of the values, religions, political systems, attitudes, social structures, lifestyles, special characteristics, styles of communication and business customs of various societies.
Learning Methods
3-5 hours of lectures per week during the autumn semester.
Assessment Methods
Project assignment which counts for 40 % and an oral presentation in class of the assignment which counts for 30 %. A 4-hour written final examination, which counts for 30 %. Students must receive passing marks on all parts of the assessment.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
