Course Objectives

Students will learn: Introduction to logical and sequential control. Implementation of automation solutions on PLC-systems (Programmable Logical Controllers) and PAC-systems (Programmable Automation Controllers). Instrumentation. Process and Instrumentation Diagrams. Sensors. Electrical machinery.

Learning Methods

Lectures. Self-study. Calculation exercises. PC-based exercises. Project assignments.

Assessment Methods

Individual written final examination counts 70% of the final grade. 2 projects each counting 15%.
