Course Objectives

After completing the course, the students should be able to independently plan and report to the building and planning office for buildings in development class 1. Detail planning and the application process should be carried out on the basis of the developer’s desires and needs and the requirements of laws and regulations. Factors such as aesthetics, economy, functionality, construction safety and energy efficiency will also be guiding issues when planning the project.

Course Description

CAD projections of the building according to Norwegian Standards. Building applications and their processing. Dimensioning of the building’s load-bearing structures. Calculation of heat-loss framework. Building description, mass estimations and possible calculations.

Learning Methods

The students will create individual solutions to project-planning assignments provided by the subject teacher, or perhaps define their own projects.
