Course Description
Derivation of general mass, momentum and energy conservation equations. Boundary conditions for the conservation equations. Turbulence and its modeling. Numerical methods and algorithms for solving the conservation equations. Solving fluid dynamic problems with CFD software such as Fluent.
Learning Methods
Lectures, exercises and use of CFD software.
Assessment Methods
The final test counts 70 %; the mid-term test counts 20 % and CFD assignments count 10 %. Grades A-F are used. To pass the course, the final test must be passed.
Minor adjustments may occur during the academic year, subject to the decision of the Dean
